Bitumen Tanking Membranes

CMS offers a range of bitumen waterproofing and complementary products, including Ruberoid Plasprufe, Grace Servicise sheet tanking membranes. It also offers a range of liquid applied waterproofing systems including the full RIW range.

Plasprufe
Plasprufe waterproofing membranes are manufactured by coating high performance carriers of polyethylene and non-woven polyester fibre fabrics with polymer and modified bitumen. Self-adhesive and torch-on grades are available depending on the most appropriate method of application for the job and the prevailing ground conditions.

Synthaprufe
Synthaprufe is a brush applied bitumen / rubber emulsion which, when cured, forms a damp-proof and vapour-proof seamless membrane for floors and walls. Synthaprufe can be applied to concrete slabs prior to a floor screed or to blockwork before plastering.

The formulation of Synthaprufe LAC allows its use in the most demanding site locations. It is suited to protecting concrete and masonry structures above and below ground level. It can also be used with Plasprufe membranes to form a complete tanking system.

CMS also offers a full range of complementary waterproofing products, including bitumen primers, used to improve bond between waterproofing membranes and porous surfaces; bitumen protection board; and Bitustik - double-sided adhesive tape made from bitumen rubber.
