Compriband

Compriband and Compriband Super are specialist joint sealants designed to cope with movement within structures caused by temperature changes, settlement, vibrations or wind.

Both Compriband and Compriband Super utilise open celled polyethylene foam carriers which have been impregnated with specially formulated sealing compounds. Compriband uses a bitumen based solution whereas the Compriband Super is impregnated with waxes and resins.

These products are designed to conform to changes in the gap size between building materials throughout their in-service life. The degree of possible compression varies depending on the use to which the Compriband products are put; low compressions are suitable for insulation and higher compressions are ideal for weatherproofing. Compriband Super is able to sustain performance under higher levels of compression.

As a result of these properties, there is a multitude of applications for these products from expansion joints and joints for thermal or differential movement to seals for curtain walling, cladding panels and seals for ductwork and air conditioning.
